Landlords could see increases in 2012

Landlords who have
property to rent in Dorset could see higher rental yields in
2012, according to the latest predictions from Belvoir
Lettings.
Dorian Gonsalves, managing director of Belvoir Lettings, said that
it is likely that there would be moderate increases in the price of
renting elsewhere in the country due to many people being priced
out of renting property in London.
"Rental fluctuation is likely to be very regional with some areas
such as the South East likely to see a higher increase as rental
prices force people out of London into the Home Counties," he
added.
Elsewhere in the country, he said that any rises will be moderate
at best, and that landlords should budget for such an eventuality,
with rent still recovering towards the levels it hit in 2008.
Last year, rental yields across the UK continuously rose, with nine
consecutive increases reported by LSL Property Services between
February and October.
